FAQ

Essential details about Nyxen, its privacy model, and operational philosophy.
General
What is Nyxen?
Nyxen is a privacy-first communication layer — a collection of tools for encrypted interaction without accounts, archives, or identifiers. It enables one-time encrypted rooms, ephemeral voice capsules, and zero-trace collaboration channels.
How does Nyxen differ from Signal or Telegram?
Account Requirement
None
Phone or username
Storage
Ephemeral; nothing stored
Cloud or local backups
Encryption Model
Key-based, temporary sessions
Persistent E2EE
Metadata
Minimal, TTL-based
Partial logging
Purpose
Operational privacy
General messaging
Can I use Nyxen without crypto?
Yes.
Core functionality works without holding any tokens — you can still use free-tier encrypted rooms and one-time links.
However, holding $NYX expands your daily rate limits, access to Specter Voice, and Vault relay performance.
Token & Access
What is the role of the $NYX token?
$NYXEN is a utility and access token used for encrypted bandwidth allocation. It defines how much data a user can send, how long messages persist, and which advanced tools can be unlocked.
Is Nyxen a governance token?
No. There is no voting mechanism, no DAO, and no protocol governance rights. It is purely utility-based for infrastructure access and rate control.
Can I stake or earn rewards?
No. Nyxen is not yield-bearing. Its tokenomics are intentionally static — prioritizing verifiability and security over speculation.
Are tokens burned or redistributed?
Liquidity was burned permanently and mint authority revoked. Certain in-app utilities (like temporary relay deposits) lock tokens temporarily but do not burn them.
Privacy & Security
Is Nyxen anonymous?
Yes — by design. No accounts, no identifiers, no persistent metadata. Your activity exists only for the duration of the encrypted session.
Does Nyxen log or store any data?
No plaintext data is ever stored. Only minimal, short-lived relay metadata exists for routing — automatically purged after expiration.
Is Nyxen open-source?
Parts of the Nyxen stack, such as the encryption libraries and relay protocol, will be open-sourced post-audit. Certain operational modules remain closed for network integrity.
Can I verify the contract?
Yes.
The $NYX contract is publicly verifiable on Solana.
All authorities (mint, freeze, and liquidity) have been revoked — ensuring full immutability.
What is Specter Voice?
Specter Voice is a forthcoming encrypted voice system that allows time-bound audio capsules and distorted live calls. All sessions are peer-to-peer, encrypted, and destroyed after playback.
Integration
Will Nyxen offer developer APIs?
Yes.
An SDK and REST interface for Drops, Relays, and Capsules will be released for developers building privacy-native dApps and dashboards.
Can I run my own relay?
Planned. Future versions will include self-hosted relays and optional Tor-compatible nodes for fully private infrastructure.
How does Nyxen sustain itself?
Through its token utility model — bandwidth allocation, relay prioritization, and enterprise infrastructure tiers. No advertising, tracking, or resale of data.
If you need further clarification, you can submit a technical or privacy inquiry directly via the upcoming Nyxen support relay.
